Creating new 'challenging' patterns

My favourite part of my work is creating new and exciting surface patterns for licensing use on products. So when I heard about Shannon McNab's Sketch Design Repeat 3x3 design challenge, I just had to join in!
Each week, over three weeks, she provides a design prompt/ brief for fellow artists to work to. It's been wonderful to see how everyone's patterns develop and how they're all so different.
The first week's brief was 'On The Farm' and I designed this Vintage Farm Tractor surface pattern on the theme. Copyright © Jenny P. All Rights Reserved.
I got so into the theme that I have a selection of other designs that I need to pull together to create a full collection.
The second week's theme is 'Baking Spirits Bright' and is a festive look into home-baking for the Christmas/ holiday season.
I worked on an assortment of ideas and finally came to the conclusion that Christmas Cake and Chocolate Yule Logs would make for a striking pattern design. So here are my results. Copyright © Jenny P. All Rights Reserved.
This festive design may be suited to festive napkins, tableware or even gift wrap. What do you think? Where could you see this design licensed? It certainly would liven up an otherwise plain product adding value to your merchandise.
Finally, week three's prompt is about plants and specifically just leafy plants (without flowers). So I have been working on indoor plants with lots of green leaves for my 'Learn and Grow' design featured below. Copyright © Jenny P 2022. All Rights Reserved.

It's been a fun few weeks. Thanks to Shannon for the prompts!
All my designs are available for licensing. Some have been combined within collections too, so if you would like to see more and you are from a boneafide company interested in licensing my work please contact me and I can provide you with the details to access my private portfolio. I look forward to working with you!
